Today's casio cameras ArticleUnderwater Digital Cameras 101 For Landlubbers
First came the camera. Then there was the underwater camera. After that came the digital camera ? and now we have underwater digital cameras. Underwater digital cameras are ideal for capturing the beauty of the undersea world (or the bottom of your swimming pool if you have that special artistic eye!). They are used by both scientists and scuba divers. Digital cameras come in many well-known brands including Kodak, Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Olympus. Surprisingly enough, the cheapest brands cost less than $200, although prices rise quite steeply for the highest quality cameras.
Some of the advantages of underwater digital cameras include:
- You can plug them into a TV.
- They are smaller and lighter than film cameras
- Bad shots can be easily deleted
- They can change resolution, which is useful for wide-angle photography in low lighting conditions underwater
- They produce better high-resolution shots
- They never run out of film (because they don't use film!)
- They have better depth of field (up to 4 times that of film cameras)
- They feature strobe shutter speeds as fast as 1/800th of a second, much faster than even the best film cameras
- Applications include sea mode, land mode, and external flash mode
Here are some examples of the best underwater digital cameras:
1. The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z1000
It has a 2. 8 inch LCD screen and 10 megapixels. Housing is required. Up to 3,2000 ISO. 3x optical zoom lens, and it even includes an anti-shake feature.
2. The Pentax Optio
It has a 2.5 inch LCD screen and 7 megapixels. It requires no additional housing. Usable for up to half an hour in depths of up to 5 feet. It can even be used for shooting underwater videos. Up to 1,600 ISO.
3. Fuji Film FinePix A400
Complete with waterproof housing, 4.2 megapixels. What's more, it's CHEAP - under $200 at the time of this writing).
4. SeaLife DC500
Includes both Land and sea flash modes. 5 megapixels, 3x optical zoom. Features an anti-shake function that compensates for movement by either the photographer or the subject.
The foregoing is only a small smaple of the total range of brands, cameras, and features available for photographers of almost any budget and any level of sophistication.

Ok, it works fine but not only detects hidden cameras. As says in the description "Detects frequencies from 50MHz to 3GHz" so if you have anything that works in between those frequencies this detector will found it and the alarm will be activated (even though is not a hidden camera).

Customer Review: Perfect Camera
I did a lot of research before I bought this camera. I own a few other digital cameras that are not made by Canon and I was not pleased with quality of the pictures these cameras took. So, I began to do a lot of research on the internet and asking people I know what type of digital cameras they had. Pleasantly supprised a lot of the people I spoke to prefered Canon Digital Cameras. I've had this camera for about two months and I love the pictures that I have taken with it.
I'm extremely happy with this camera and would recommend to anyone.
Customer Review: "CHDK" Power
I bought this camera because of the CHDK. In general, this camera is not good for indoor and don't think about flash (flash interval is too slow). Outdoor is perfect for this one, picture quality is very good(compare with the DSLR). Video with sound recording is amazing.
Outdoor--LCD is bad, I always use the viewfinder.
Convertable tube for external filter (52 mm) blocks view finder about 30%, but it worth for lens protection.
Image stabilizer's not good, I can't tell the different between on and off(Blurrr) for slow shutter speed. 2AA-Battery is good for all day use.(show %Bat with CHDK)
But with the CHDK modification, you get everything you want: RAW, Interval timelag photo, bracketing, overide-shutterspeed-aperture-ISO, histogram, DOF value, and you can write your own a basic script. The CHDK affects only for the SD memory card, don't worry about the damage of your camera. If something wrong, just take the SD out. I used CHDK for 3 months without any problem. Thank you CHDK..
Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad
Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad

Customer Review: DON'T ADVERTISE YOUR ---GPS
TAKE YOUR GPS HOLDER OFF YOUR WINDOW------THIS LITTLE GEM WORKS JUST GREAT. WHEN YOU GO IN FOR THE NIGHT, UNPLUG YOUR GPS, PUT THE GPS IN ITS CASE, AND PUT THE HOLDER AND PAD IN YOUR TRUNK. KEEP IT OUT OR SIGHT AND SAFE.
Customer Review: Simple solution is the best!
Thank heavens someone invented the Nav Mat and I don't have to deal with the windshield mount - it's really a pain. Just make sure you stick the suction to the Nav Mat as securely as you would to the windshield and it won't fall over (duh - my mistake!) The Nav Mat makes your GPS even more convenient!
Nikon Lens Pen Cleaning System
Nikon Lens Pen Cleaning System
Your binocular or telescope uses highly precise optics. It's important to keep them as clean as possible to assure the best performance. Nikon makes it really easy and simple with the Lens Pen Cleaning System.
Customer Review: Works Great!
This type of cleaning system for lenses works great. I ended up getting the smaller one, just like this larger one also. They keep the lenses of my cameras spotless. They fit in the camera bags and have the option of clipping to the side of the bag on the outside so that they are handy but won't get lost.
Customer Review: Good but Nikon could have gone farther
This is a Nikon branded version of a product called Lenspen and the Lenspen set that I got for $20 at a trade show included three sizes of cleaning pens; only the largest of which Nikon chose to market as this 'system'. If they had gotten the other two smaller sizes, the problems with binocular ocular lenses and even tiny fixed camera lenses (like a Treo or iPhone) could have been cleaned.
So to this particular pen: I like it a lot and it really does a good job on my Canon digital SLR. The Lenspen rep stated that there is a cleaning compound inside the cap which coats the cleaning tip with something like a fine carbon black powder and that is what makes it so effective in cleaning the lenses of oils and dirt without scratching.
Of course the fine brush at the other end is used to brush off the large grit and damaging dirt before you move to the cleaning tip.
All in all, this is a good part of a more complete system. If you have no need for smaller lens cleaner, this is a good choice.

This amazing little camera has always been one of my favorites. At 5 megapixels, this the S500 series camera captures very high quality images, yet is small enough to slip into your pocket.
Casio Exilim EX-Z55

Customer Review: Best option
I have bought this camera under the National Geographic trademark but it is exactly the same. I compared all the other kid cameras and found this one to have the best value for the money. I was surprised to see that Fisher Price and VTech as well as Crayola are selling Digital Cameras for little kids for $40-70 with little storage, little resolution - while you can pick up a cheap small camera for next to nothing.
My daughter has developmental delays so a camera that has a good grip was important. This one does fine - would have loved the Fisher Price shape though. As for the possibilities: You can do everything with this camera that you can do with an adult camera. At 1.3 pixels the quality is good, time lapse and night vision function helped us figure out that our dog is climbing on our newly purchased couch after we have gone to bed. Everything is simple , yet functional. I got this camera at a supersale and therefore got a really good deal. I would definately recommend if you can get it at a deal - that's the only bad thing: The price.
Customer Review: Good camera for little hands
I bought this for my 6 year old and she loves it. The pictures are ok but better than most children cams. My daughter especially likes that she can take time lapse pictures and night vision pictures too. It's fun and very durable.

The Canon PowerShot SD20 series comes in a variety of funky color (including midnight blue, garnet, zen gray and silver). Obviously targeted at the young and hip, it boasts a 5 megapixel resolution and a full set of interesting camera options.
Kodak EasyShare DX7630
The Kodak EasyShare DX7630 boasts a 6.1 megapixel resolution and 3x optical zoom. A generous 2.2 inch LCD screen and nice manual controls keep this high on the sales charts.
Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600
One of the highest resolution ultracompact cameras in this list, the Konica Minolta DiMAGE G600 offers a 6.3 megapixel resolution and a 3x optical zoom. The start-up time is an amazing 1.3 seconds very fast indeed, compared to other compact cameras. Interesting buy if you arent very much of a Canon or Sony fan.
Conclusion
Weve covered a lot of ultracompact cameras is the above list. If you place me in a camera store, Id probably pick the Canon PowerShot S500 or Kodak EasyShare LS743 as my favorites. Your own mileage may vary, of course. Remember to do your homework before settling for a camera understand your needs and expectations first, before shelling out cash. Happy shopping!

Customer Review: Does not fit camera!
The description for this camera case clearly says Panasonic DMC LX2, and it's way too small for the actual camera. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Canon Pixma iP4500 Photo Inkjet Printer (2171B002)
Canon Pixma iP4500 Photo Inkjet Printer (2171B002)
The Canon Pixma iP4500 is a stylish unit that boasts both a five-color ink system and a 4,608-nozzle print head to deliver wonderfully lifelike color, along with bold, laser-quality text. How does it work? The print head ejects precision droplets as small as one picoliter, resulting in a breathtaking 9600 x 2400 color dot-per-inch (dpi) resolution as well as a truly exceptional level of detail. Remarkably efficient, the iP4500 also will print a borderless 4-by-6-inch photo in only about 21 seconds. And you can store both photo paper and plain paper in the two paper trays at the same time, so you're always ready to print exactly what you need.
The user-friendly iP4500 provides lots of options, so you can indulge your creativity. With this system, you get four dye-based inks plus a pigment-based black ink, the option of printing two-sided documents to save paper, and the ability to print right from your infrared-enabled mobile camera phone. Simply capture an image with a PictBridge-ready digital camera or DV camcorder, then connect and print--it's that simple. And to make sure your favorite shots look their best, the built-in automatic image-fixing feature via Easy PhotoPrint EX also helps ensure that each image is as clear and vibrant as possible.
What's in the Box
Pixma iP4500 photo printer, document kit (cross sell sheet, easy setup instructions, quick start guide), setup software and user's guide on CD-ROM, PGI-5 pigment black ink tank, CLI-8 (black/cyan/magenta/yellow) ink tank, sample media (five 8.5-by-11-inch sheets and four print alignment sheets), power cord, and print head.
Customer Review: Allow ink refill in some way
I had emailed and asked Canon many times to allow user refill the ink. They did not respond to that. This printer in some way allowing the ink being refilled. You still have to void the warranty of the printer head. After that, it will allow most the ink cartrige refilled. However, it does not do that to all the ink cartriges. Some times, you still have to check the ink level, then wait for the warning message saying no ink in tank (you actually have a full tank refilled ink in it), then push the continue button on printer to let the printing continue with the refilled inks.
I don't know why Canon have to pull so many stops for people using refilled ink. Otherwise, this will be a wonderful printer. If you are using ink cartrige without refill, it is actually cheaper just buy a new printer on Amazon when the ink is out, since buying a whole set of inks costs more than a whole new printer with full set of inks.
Customer Review: Fragile and unreliable
An ongoing nuisance. I already reviewed this in another listing of the same product, but a year later, it continues to be a frustrating contraption. Even their installer software (latest version from Canon site as well as the version that shipped with it) hangs and requires a force restart (MacBook Pro)...
It exhibits excellent print quality and impressive speed when it is behaving, but this is about the most irritating printer I have ever owned and I would not replace it with the same model (even if free). I love other Canon products (cameras in particular)... this is not a random rant.
One ink tank was DOA, but Canon quickly replaced it with no hassles.

Customer Review: Awesome deal!!
This was an awesome deal. I went to frys electronics and they were wanting $32 dollars for this card. Best Buy and Circuit City don't even carry these cards. Use it in my sony-ericcson phone and works great. Only complaint is that I need an additional adaptor to fit in my memory stick card slot on computer. Luckily I already had one. Great deal overall.
Customer Review: Works great in my Sony Ericsson W580i
This card works great in my Sony Ericsson W580i. Simply opened the annoying blister pack, popped it into the phone (it is amazingly tiny, if you drop it you will probably loose it!), and it was recognized immediately.
I have used it for some time, and it seems to work great. I can't speek to the transfer rate, as I have never owned a competing product, but it seemed a bit slow when loading music, although this may be due to the fact that I used the phone in "File Transfer" mode with it's USB cable. In the end it does exactly what it is supposed to, for less than the Sony card costs, and that makes it a winner in my book.

After writing all this matter on outdoor security camera, we have undergone a sense of a gratification on its completion. If this information is utilized, we will feel even better.
A Featured outdoor security camera ArticleDigital Camera Accessories - The Top 7 Accessories You Can't Live Without!
The anticipation of buying some digital camera accessories is just about as exciting as buying the camera itself. With so many trimmings to go with it, the digital camera will turn a simple hobby into a pleasurable profession with just a snap of the finger. When we begin looking at the digital camera of choice, we need to look at some of the accessories that will go with it. Some accessories will go with most cameras but some may be brand specific, so stay with the brand of the camera if you can when looking at their extras.
Accessories such as rechargeable batteries, a battery charger/AC adapter, memory card, soft camera case, camera bag, lens cleaning kit, tripod, external flash and filters, will all make the digital camera run more smoothly and efficiently. They add value to your photo shoots, and also increase the life of your camera. The worst thing in the world is to be out on a shoot, and have the battery go out or the memory card malfunctions.
There are some accessories more important than others, and some simply sell better than others. Right now, at the top of the accessory list for digital cameras are: (1) camera bags - for LCD scratches, general marks on the camera, with the Lowepor Micro Trekker 200 and the Lowepro Mini Trekker Classic as the two top selling bags; (2) memory cards - it is best to have one large card or a couple medium card.
(3) camera tripod - only purchase one of you are serious about photography; (4) photo printer - some of the best ones are the Canon i70/i80/i90 Portable Photo Printer, HP Photosmart 375 Photo Inkjet Printer, Epson PictureMate Personal Photo Lab Inkjet Printer, Kodak EasyShare Dock Plus Dye Sublimation Printer, and the Sony DFF-FP50 Digital Photo Inkjet Printer; and (5) Portable Storage Device and Card Reader - holds 7 memory card types and stores up to 100 GB of images; (6) photo editing software - always upgrade to a more advanced program; and (7) Digital Picture Frame - displays slide shows and receives photos across country.
One of the most important accessories, which really is a necessity, should be a lens cleaning kit to go along with the digital camera. You should never clean any optics of your camera using your shirt, fingers, water or breath. The kit, which costs a few dollars, includes a small blower brush, a soft cloth, a small plastic bottle containing the lens cleaning solution, and a number of lens cleaning tissues. Little specks of dirt on a photograph or smudges will cost a person time when they editing them out.
Digital cameras and their built-in flashes have a limited range of approximately ten feet, which is considered normal for most point-and-shoot cameras. This distance can be increased 18 feet on up to 40 feet, depending on the flash used as a slave flash, which is ANY photographic flash that has a sensor built into the unit. Many of these are sensitive enough to be activated 100 feet away in full sunlight, but are not restricted to outdoor use only.
Some of the new digital cameras that have "red eye reduction", also called pre-flash, require a special digital flash unit to act as a slave unit. But the older digital cameras without pre-flash will still work with slave units. But the first thing was to purchase a camera with at least 2X on up to an 8X optical zoom - not digital. Optical is the highest quality digital camera available, as the digital will take blurry photographs.
Another very important accessory is a tripod, for those of us who have the shakes and an unsteady hand. The tripod is needed to prevent camera shake, especially when the shutter speed drops below 1/60 second at a wide angle shot. Some digital cameras are equipped with an LCD monitor, which flashes a blinking light as a warning when the shutter speed is likely to cause a camera shake.
Also, a tripod is necessary when the photographer is too close to the object in macro photography. There are mini tripods and the regular tripods, with the minis pretty popular anymore as they are lightweight and can be stored easily.
Almost all digital cameras come with a small starter memory card, 16 or 32 MB. However, a professional photographer or a shutterbug may need a larger memory card - the more pictures on it, the faster it will disappear in room. A larger card will have more room so more pictures can be taken; we won't need to rush to our computer to transfer them off the memory card before we run out of room. We also have the option of using several small memory cards, sorted out per subject or job.
And last but not least, a battery charger or an AC adapter is very much needed, unless we keep a case of batteries on us at all times. But the battery charger is the number one choice as it allows us to continue charging spare batteries without interrupting our shooting. In the case of an AC adapter, the shooting will come to a halt while the battery is being charged.
It is also advisable to buy a spare set of rechargeable batteries as it saves us the embarrassment of getting stuck with drained out batteries during the middle of a photo shoot. Rechargeable batteries last longer, and will save us the bother of hunting for battery stores in desolate places. The price may be high at first, but it is better than losing a photography job or driving all the way to a camera store to repurchase what was forgotten in the first place!

Customer Review: Nice froth, but filter basket leaks
Nice shot, nice crema, but the filter basket leaked despite all troubleshooting efforts. That was annoying and messy enough for me to give up on this machine.
Customer Review: Good machine
I have used this espresso machine severals times. I am still learning but I am pleased with the results so far. My lattes aren't hot enough which I found out was due to my steamed milk being cold. Other than that everything works well.
Krups XP2010 Combination Unit; 10 cup Coffee Maker & 15-bar Pump Espresso
Krups XP2010 Combination Unit; 10 cup Coffee Maker & 15-bar Pump Espresso
This dual function espresso/drip coffee machine has oversized controls that switch easily from brewing espresso to frothing milk. It features a 15 bar pump driven system with a die-cast thermoblock-heating element. The filter basket is conveniently stored in the lid and has a perfect froth steam nozzle. With a cup warming tray, removable water tank with optional water filtration, easy on/off button, visible water level indicator, and anti-drip system this machine is a coffee lover's dream.
Customer Review: Wish I'd read these reviews first!
I wish I had taken the time to read these reviews as I probably would not have bought this machine. I am experiencing many of the issues outlined in the reviews such as the poor frothing ability and tendency for the wand to fire itself into a jug of hot milk resulting in minor scalding and a huge mess. In addition the whole machine regularly disappears into a cloud of steam after using the espresso function and sometimes the drip side too. The filter gasket for pods leaks steam (thus losing pressure crucial for good espresso shots) no matter how small I cut down the pod.
Basically I have been persevering with this item for months now such that I am unlikely to be able to return it. It is fatally flawed. I would give it away but for fear that someone will burn themselves using it! I'm severely disappointed that Krups would manufacture such a poor piece of equipment.
I almost never write reviews so please: take heed! Pick a different machine - this one is terrible!
Customer Review: XP2010 Combination Coffee Maker Expresso
Am very satisfied with this product. Makes great coffee and expresso. The frothing is a little weak. You must run the cycle twice to get milk warm enough to froth. Easy cleanup. Makes coffee in about 3 to 4 minutes.

Customer Review: Limited life batteries
I received these and have used two already for my pedomter. Either these were about to expire, or they just aren't great quality batteries.

Customer Review: great product and vendor
After loosing my battery charger for my Nikon camera I found out that Nikon doesn't carry the original charger any more - very disappointing, since the camera is only a few years old. I tried several off-brand chargers which just did not give the battery any charge. Then I found the exact Nikon charger that I lost on Amazon through PCMonde and it works great.
Customer Review: Battery is fine
This item came quickly, was nicely packed, and it works in the camera just fine. This is a great item. You should have a spare charged up and ready to go at all times. M

If youre an intermediate level digital photographer, you might be looking for a good advanced digital camera. I know its very tough to decide on which one to buy given that these models usually cost a bomb. A good advanced digital camera should be pretty rugged and also give you as much control over the photography process as possible. Ive compiled a list of the top 10 advanced digital cameras that are selling like hotcakes in the market right now.
Canon EOS 20D
The Canon EOS-20D is one of the best digital cameras for the advanced user. With an 8.2 megapixel resolution and a bewildering range of manual modes, this digital SLR will deliver professional looking photos.
Canon PowerShot G6
The Canon PowerShot G6 has a 7.1 megapixel resolution, a 4x optical zoom, as well as a wide range of scene modes and manual controls. Even though it lacks a digital SLR body, the images shot with this camera are nothing short of outstanding. Its also one of the cheapest advanced digital cameras out there.
Olympus C-7000
The Olympus C-7000 zoom offers a 7.1 megapixel resolution and 5x optical zoom. It also boasts 5 scene modes and full manual options. A very attractive buy, although the optional lenses are not allowed.
Nikon D70
The Nikon D70 is one of the best-selling entry level digital SLRs. It has a solid design, a bewildering range of options, powerful speed, as well as great photo quality. With its cheap price, this 6.1 megapixel SLR is one of the best value cameras for serious photographers looking to upgrade their camera.
Canon Digital Rebel
The 6.3 megapixel Canon Digital Rebel is a direct competitor to the Nikon D70. It targets photographers at the lower end of the advanced digital SLR market. Its low price, excellent image quality and speed give the Nikon D70 a run for its money.
Sony Cybershot Pro DSC-V3
The Sony Cybershot Pro DSC-V3 is a decent advanced camera which is light and easy to use. With its 7.2 megapixel resolution and 4x optical zoom, its a great buy. Do note the colors can be a bit poor in some shots.
Canon EOS-1D Mark II
The Canon EOS-1D Mark II is a new digital SLR aimed at professional photographers who want excellent customization options, great photo quality and impressive speed. This 8 megapixel camera is high on my list of recommendations.
Olympus C-8080
With its 8 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom, the Olympus C-8080 represents great value for those hunting for a digital SLR. While it doesnt sell as well as the Canon and Nikon SLRs, I think Olympus comes up with pretty decent advanced cameras too.
Konica Minolta DiMAGE A2
The Konica Minolta DiMAGE A2 is a hot favorite amongst professionals. From a feature and function point of view, its one of the best digital SLRs Ive seen. However, the build quality lacks that nice and heavy SLR feel.
Sony DSC-F828
Featuring a whopping 8 megapixel image resolution, the Sony DSC-F828 comes replete with a powerful 7X zoom lens and great camera optics. Very nice camera indeed.
Conclusion
There are lot of cameras suitable for the advanced digital photographer, but the list above covers some of my favorites. I particularly like the Nikon D70 and Minolta DiIMAGE A2. One shopping tip to remember is that the camera above tend to be more expensive than the average point-and-shoot model. So do consider carefully whether you need to features before buying the camera. If you're just starting out in digital photography, you may want to try a simpler and cheaper model first.

Customer Review: Moultrie Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired!!!!!
I recently purchased 2 of this units. Out of the box, one was defective. I called Moultrie who said ship it back and they would replace it. After waiting a week to hear from them I called and learned that it would take "3 or 4 weeks before my problem was evaluated". I explained that the unit was new and defective but was told it would have to go through their normal repair process, again 3 to 4 weeks.
If you decide to buy this product and have a problem, prepare to be very patient.

I handed these out one of these out to everyone of my co-workers a surprise christmas present from me, they we're very appreciative. Unfortunately they we're not shipped to me before Christmas as promised, so I paid the two day shipping for nothing. They arrived 5-days after Christmas. I paid the two day shipping and you guys ripped me off. The product however was nice.
I'm loosing faith in Amazon, this is the second time I have paid for two day shipping and received the product after two weeks...you people are confused or you need more education. I suspect I will not get my money back... so really whats the point of paying for two day shipping if you're not going to actually do it?

Customer Review: From box to making DVD in minutes!
I wanted a small video camera for an upcoming family event. Today the Flip arrived. From box, to recording, to loading video in computer took 5 minutes! The video was automatically loaded into a video file in "My Documents" in windows XP after one click on the 'save' command. I then opened Adobe Premiere Elements. I was able to pull the file right up for editing. Didn't edit though, but immediately burned a DVD. Popped it in the DVD player on the TV. Perfect. This entire test flight took under 1/2 hour. I am very impressed.
According to the screen info. in the Flip program, you can take the camera to various commercial outlets (like CVS)to have a DVD made. Think about that given the 60 minute limit on the camera. However, if you have a movie editing program like Premiere Elements and a DVD burner, you are all set and will likely be very happy with the Flip. You can unload the camera's video's at any time and then start over with new recording.
It is amazingly tiny and light...fits in a pocket or evening purse. I am very, very happy so far!
Customer Review: Love it
If you are expecting this to be a full-function video camera, you will be disappointed. However, it is an excellent little camcorder to have around and take medium quality video. I use mine to record video for web applications.
